Brad,

This brings to mind the relationships between people and their vehicles in
Ballard's Crash... For me it was the first time I had come across an attempt
to create an emotional and embodied relationship between contemporary
technologies and the human body.. I feel the real value of the book is
Ballard's creation and constant reiteration of a 'geometry' between the body
and the vehicle (which, sadly, was lacking in Cronenburg's film version).
